**Professional Atheist Dawkins Says Christianity ‘Bulwark Against Something Worse’
**

In a text that is coursing about on social media, professional God-slayer Richard Dawkins begrudgingly admitted that Christianity may actually be our best defense against aberrant forms of religion that threaten the world.

“There are no Christians, as far as I know, blowing up buildings,” Dawkins said. “I am not aware of any Christian suicide bombers. I am not aware of any major Christian denomination that believes the penalty for apostasy is death.”
In a rare moment of candor, Dawkins reluctantly accepted that the teachings of Jesus Christ do not lead to a world of terror, whereas followers of radical Islam perpetrate the very atrocities that he laments.
Because of this realization, Dawkins wondered aloud whether Christianity might indeed offer an antidote to protect western civilization against jihad.
“I have mixed feelings about the decline of Christianity, in so far as Christianity might be a bulwark against something worse,” he said.

Yes, in the absence of good evil will flourish. Now even Dawkins sees it.

So…Dawkins who has spoken and written so vehemently against God in the past and attributed so many wicked things to Him now thinks that Judeo-Christian thought and morality can be a bulwark against “something worse…”

I will once again state my personal opinion that Richard Dawkins is a boob.

If he said it, that’s a pretty big admission from him. I’d like for him to have said it. However, since it’s rattling around on social media (remember Abraham Lincoln once said “Anyone can make up a quote on Facebook to support their point of view”) and I can’t find any unimpeachable first-quote sources, I can’t yet bring myself to believe he said it.

On Dawkins and the selfish gene - “He is totally confused.” “He has misused a metaphor” “He [Dawkins] is philosophically naive and I am afraid he has misled many people for a very considerable period of time.” 40 minutes in

I never took him that seriously. Now I take him even less so. This is the reason he would do a turn? That’s a laugher.

What is the difference between a “professional” atheist and an “amateur” atheist?

No really…it’s not the beginning of a joke. 😛

I will continue to pray for him. Perhaps he in his quiet moments he ponders what is happening in the world around him politically, culturally and socially.
