Professor Grant Horner's Bible Reading System in Catholic Edition?

I second this plan. I’m actually going through it right now for the second-ish time. (I was trying it in 60 days over the summer, but then school started. I wound up with most of Sirach, John, Revelation, a few epistles, and Jeremiah–Malachi left)

As for where to read deuterocanonical books, I recommend the RSV-CE available on Bible Gateway. link

And finally, if you really want a Catholic Edition of the Horner System, one does exist. I made it for someone in a different thread. That said, though, I still prefer the Coming Home Network’s plan.

The best Catholic reading plan I’ve ever seen comes from the Coming Home Network. It includes not only three Biblical readings a day, but also a section of the Catechism.

The best Bible reading system for me is simply the Liturgy. Between the Liturgy of the Hours, and the Mass, the intelligence of the three lectionaries (Weekday Mass, Sunday Mass and LOTH) is hard to beat. These days, besides praying the LOTH and its one-year lectionary for the Office of Readings, I’m also reading as lectio divina the two-year lectionary and the Mass readings.

The readings are appropriate for the seasons, and they’re pertinent for bringing us into the mystery of the Incarnation and salvation.
