Proof outside the Bible of Jesus resurrection?

Ok so I was watching the Case for Christ and as someone struggling it gave me a lot of hope that someone as skeptical and as stubborn headed as myself could still come to believe. In the movie they assert that the resurrection is extra biblically recorded better than things like Aristotle or even the Iliad. Are these claims true? Can someone help direct me on where to start?

What they are saying is that the Bible is recorded better than the Illiad, etc.

Essentially, the New Testament if treated like a historical document is one of if not the best well kept historical records.

But, to see the Resurrection look to the Church, the Apostles who gave their lives for their beliefs (and they’d know if it were a lie or not!), etc.

Early resources show that the early Church believed in Christ as though He were a God.

If you want to get really deep into this, you should read “The Resurrection of the Son of God” by N T Wright. 848 pages on the subject.

I recommend Jesus’ miraculous image on the Shroud of Turin. The only viable explanation for the creation of that image is that His corpse had to vanish into another dimension while it was till wrapped in that cloth. While the disappearance of His corpse doesn’t prove His resurrection, it certainly implies that it happened.

Many books on the subject are available by authors such as Wilson, Heller, Frale, and Antonacci.

I recommend a new book by Mark Antonacci; TEST THE SHROUD, 2015.
He did extensive research on the carbon dating and found out that the British Museum had misrepresented the results as 1260 to 1390. The actual C-14 dating results were 1195 to 1448. Furthermore, he found that the oldest date of 1195 came from the part of the sample that was closest to the edge, while the youngest date of 1448 came from the part closest to the body image.

The indication is that residual radiation from the disappearance of Jesus’ corpse caused the image and also enhanced the C-14 content of the Shroud’s linen fibers. The 1978 STuRP scientific investigation supports the idea that our Lord’s body somehow vanished from the inside of His burial cloth as does the Gospel of Matthew.

There exists a virtual avalanche of scientific data that indicates that the Shroud of Turin is the authentic burial cloth of Jesus and that His image on that cloth is miraculous. Don’t be fooled by the skeptics.
