Proper Dress for Sacrament

What do you believe is proper dress for a man going to the Sacrament of Reconciliation?
 
whatever you are wearing that day as long as it is appropriate for street wear.

Sandals only in the summer, between Memorial Day and Labor Day if you live in the States. And a thousand no’s on the socks and sandals combo, it’s tacky. If your feet are too gnarly to be seen in public, get a pedicure before you go to church.
 
No sandals, no shorts, no tshirts. Your in the presense of God. Refer to the Vatican dress code policy. 😃

Negative on sandals only between mem to labor day!! I wore sandals all last week already.

Yup! My basic rule is if it is over 55-60 degrees, I am in sandals – usually flippies, as I find they are the most comfortable for me. I hate, hate, hate shoes, so as soon as I can kick them off and go in flip flops, the better! 👍👍

Sandals are certainly fine…as are tshirts.

The Vatican does not have a dress code policy that would not permit such in St. Peters.

Indeed. If memory serves, I wore a t-shirt when I was there in 2001.

I would have wore both…t-shirt and sandals…

after a wrestling the sword away from the swiss guard…everything was fine…
 
clean shirt clean trousers clean socks and clean underwear and shoes and a heart willing to receive the graces of the sarament of confession
