Ok, so I’d like to dip more into the Bible prophecies thing.

I’ve found THIS link on Hugh Ross’ site some time ago and I said to myself I’m going to make some reasearch on this some time.

Is there any good list / explanation / site dealing with this?

And yes - why do you think the skeptics are not persuaded by this “prophecies argument”? about the reliability (and/or isnspiration) of the Bible?

Possibly because:
  • Skeptics understand the nature of Jewish prophetic writing and the use of midrash.
  • Any writer can have any person fulfill many prophecies when they are writing about them long after the supposed events occured and in the absence of any objective evidence.
  • Even a blind squirrel finds a nut occassionally.
You can’t prove the inspiration of the bible - it is a matter of faith.

Wonder if anyone has itemized a list of the 500 that have yet to take place ?

Also, re: # 7 on the list of fulfilled prophecies. Does anyone know Jerusalem well enough to vouch for the nine suburbs where construction has occured ?

If true, 10 to 18th power odds is too awesome for chance.
