Hi all,
I came home to the Catholic church 3 years ago. I have been going thru my personal library and realized that most of my books/bibles are written by protestant authors. Any suggestions as to what I should do with them now that I am a Catholic?

Thanks
Chris

There is no rule that you cannot own protestant books. You could sell or donate them. If books are actively anti-Catholic, I might recycle them.

One thing - that was always quite apparent to me, as a reader…and searcher for wisdom…
was how much more intense and better written, we’re the Catholic books -
Protestant books really don’t hold a candle - to the Catholic classics.
I’d toss them.
Especially if they are watered down, pass the time, type books.

I made a very similar thread yesterday. Take a look, there’s some good advice.

Selling heretical books Moral Theology
Long story short, I converted to the Catholic Faith very recently and I’m selling the heretical books I had as I’m no longer interested in anything related to Protestantism (mostly books from John Calvin, Martin Luther, the puritans and some Brazilian Presbyterian pastors). Am I helping to spread heresy? Is it a sin to sell heretical books?
