Has anybody ever gotten an answer to the question, “If all it takes is faith and I believe in Jesus, why am I not saved too?”Just one more thing: It seems that this group is also anti-nonbaptist protestant. When I was growing up, I regularly encountered the attitude that baptists are saved, protestants (baptists were not considered protestants) might be saved but it seemed that not many actually were, and Roman Catholics are all damned (except for the very rare “born again” catholic who is in disobedience by staying in the false church.
Baptists are known for being the least ecumenical of protestants and the hardcore baptists deny they are protestants. We were always taught to believe that Luther was a heretic and the baptists were the true New Testament church descended from John the Baptist. Our forefathers were, of course, : Montanists, Cathars, Albigensies, etc.![]()
