Protestant Minister for Two Denominations

I know a man who is the minister at two different Protestant churches - the United Church of Christ Congregational and the American Baptist Church. Is this common in Protestant denominations, or do these two denominations have some sort of special realationship/intercommunion with one-another?

I believe they are both Calvinist, but someone can correct me if I am wrong on that.

I am not sure if the American Baptist Church is Calvinist (I doubt it). I know the UCC had Reformed congregational roots, but both denominations are extremely liberal.
