Theirs several verses in the new and old testament were we see, People bow down, to the point of touching the ground when they see a person of respect ( king David for example) or to someone from heaven, an angel. Giving veneration to somebody is not disrespectful, Protestants like to see it as a contradiction to exodus. But people did it in the old and new testament and god did not get upset because he knew, and knows that its a sign of respct not as a sign of worship.

Please excuse, I meant prostrate. Missed an important letter there, and it’s way too late to edit that. I apologize to everyone.
Wouldn’t have even noticed but now that you point it out, it is very funny! A “prostate” position is sitting too long during a sermon! 😃

Yes, it is the Real Presence of God that is physically present in the tabernacle.

He is the same God Who as Pilar of Fire led the Israelites out of Egypt, divided the Red Sea, fed them manna from heaven, had to show them right from wrong through Moses, taught them how He wanted to be worshiped as found in Exodus, and so on.

Jesus swept the money changers out of the temple, Who had much fervor the sacred presence of God in His house. This reflects why Holy Communion is only for those who have faith in His Sacred Presence.

Our worship is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass where Christ unites Himself with us, and makes us worthy before the Heavenly Father, Who through the Holy Spirit changes the bread and wine into His Precious Body and Blood, although the outer form does not change. This fulfills likewise the precursor of the manna of heaven that was fed to the Israelites in the desert.

The great difference is found in how we worship. It is most sacred, and we are no longer in this world at Mass, but before the Heavenly Father through Christ and the Holy Spirit. Our goal is nourishment to make us grow more Christ like. And being more Christ like does not mean we perform before an audience, but hide virtue and do things for the Father alone to see.

The proper posture of mature Mass attendance is hearing the Lord speak through His Word, adoration and communion, Liturgy of the Word is the first part, the second part is the Liturgy of the Eucharist, the Word Made Flesh, also this living reality of where we bow at the Nicene Creed…the Holy Spirit overshadowing the Blessed Virgin…the Incarnation, where God takes on man’s weak humanity through Mary.
