Does anyone else listen to Protestant Radio Stations?

I have come to enjoy some Christian Rock on the local radio stations. Never thought I would, but many of the songs are actually quite catchy and obviously carry a much better message than the noise and filth on many other stations.

But how about AM or Protestant talk stations? My feeling is that as a Catholic, you must know your faith very well to listen to them, because some of their positions on works, salvation, the rapture etc. are different than ours. But for the most part, they focus on the Gospel message and have some good interviews with other Christians, and even Catholics at times. I listen to Moody Radio sometimes and there are some good segments on there. Primarily, though, I am a Relevant Radio listener.

It depends on the preacher. Moody shows aren’t too bad. I always liked “Unshackled.” I also really enjoy Gale Erwin whenever I can find him. He never seems to Catholic-bash. When the preachers start that, I flip the channel.

Sometimes my sister listens to the Christian Rock radio station “The Sound of Life”, but I don’t know if you can get it were you live, it’s pretty good, and I’ve never heard them bash Catholics.

I prefer WAOB (We Are One Body) Catholic radio, but I mostly listen to radio in the car and I can only get WAOB over half the PA turnpike. Everywhere else I just have to seek and find something I like.

Our local Protestant radio station has a stronger signal than the Catholic station , so I start out with the Catholic station, then switch over when it gets staticky.

I will occasionally listen to KBRT out here. They sometimes have some fine shows. Like tisbearself says, if the Catholic bashing starts, I flip channels. Most often, though, I’ll do KCEO (Relavent Radio=Catholic) or EWTN via Sirius.
