Granted, some Protestant groups believe that Marriage is indeed a sacrament, while others do not. The Catholic Church believes that marriage is one of the only 2 sacraments (the other being baptism) that anyone can perform if under emergency circumstances.
But I was thinking, why do Protestant ministers believe that they can marry one man and one woman? Where do they believe that authority comes from? Where in the Bible does it say that?
Is this another instance of Protestants practicing a non-Biblical belief (in the same vein as “public revelation ended with the death of the last apostle”) ???
