Protestantism as New Catholicism?

I think you got it wrong.

There are about 1300 Protestant sects. Who knows what anyone one of them believes. They are always splitting up like amoebas.
Calvinists, or Presbyterianism amounts to about 1 million souls in the US. That is what you call The True Church???

They deny Tradition but they cling to their little ‘traditions’. So long as they have a bible, which they seem to interprete any way the spirit moves them.

I watch a lot of televangelists on TV. They never seem to preach the Gospels. I never have figured out why. They reference the Old Testament a lot, sometimes St. Paul, and Revelations - they love Revelations, and the Rapture, and some such, just to keep people in fear. Mostly they are about raising money. TBN, my Lord, raises so much money. The pitch is that unless you sow your seed God will not bless you. Talk about simony. God is not about money, and will hear the prayers of the rich as well as the poor, without enriching those emotional preachers.

I don’t mean to denigrate, but Calvinism? Really? It is so depressing.

I was suprised that u to say we alone posse full truth. my reaction is to laugh because it certainly one proud statment
sorry it is rude to do so.

I may view myself begin saved or likemind to my church but no way would i excalt myself or my church in possion of full truth in name of church or reglions
I gotta to disciple myself constantly and watch my mouth. EVERYONE are prejuries Im for one freely to adimt that as im aware of my own. rather im aware then not.

let say, on seeing that instantly reaction is amazment and how proud of statment is. to everyday ears. I know what Christ came about yes learning 100% or not do not matter as Gospel to world firstmost so man is SAVED u can learn after saved. as far Im concerned anyone who SAVED in CHRIST got it 100% alright! by accepting Christ.

I just would not teach taking body blood etc give u somehow more of grant to God revealtions IF that not is the case then why u said them to me? I dont really know catholic postion on them.
expect I just happen to see them good influnce in reminder remembrance yes but no more then that. so my reason is i do the work in bible in fellowship in mediting etc spend time with God in very much same way as catholics taking them as two different ways but one thing it is remembrance and in spending time with God that basic prupose with two different way about it. but since the basic propose is same foundation that why i dont see it as nesscaury, in belief as long i am willing in heart to spend time with God so Holy Spirit grow. according to your heart is what he look for.

For you? I don’t know. I don’t condemn. For your church? It means it doesn’t possess the fullness of Truth. Christ commanded us to “Do this in memory of Me” when he instituted the Eucharist. The better translation is “offer this up as a memorial…”. Poien (?) - Offer this up - is always used in sacrificial terms. Anamnesis - as a memorial - is to make present. The Sacrifice that the priest “offers up” makes us present at the foot of the Cross where THE Sacrifice took place.

Yes, it is proud. I would think that you would think the same about your church. Bear in mind, but it’s my Church that possesses the fullness of Truth. I won’t possess it until I’m kicking back in heaven (God Willing).

Again, I’m not speaking of me, only of my Church. Where do I get this? “He who hears you, hears Me. And he who hears Me, hears He who sent Me.” When the Church teaches, it teaches the Truth. Or else Christ would have been mistaken with these words. How else? “I will send the Advocate to guide you…”. God guides His Church, hence it cannot teach a falsehood.

Yes, being Catholic does not insure that I will get to Heaven. I’ve got to fight the fight and win the battle every day, and only with the help of the Lord.

But I see it as this. Let’s say I’m the quarterback of a football team. And to win the game is to get to heaven. Now, I have a bunch of star players on my team - a great running back, receivers, and defensive players. If I don’t play those guys, I may still win the game (get to heaven), but it’s going to be a harder struggle. So, I wish to play the game with my star players at my side.

Let me introduce to you my players:
Running Back - the Eucharist
Wide Receiver - Penance
LineBacker - Mary and the Communion of Saints

There are numerous others on my team, that I wish to have on my side when I go to the ballgame.
