Yep. You’ll be helped out this Easter Vigil. I’m “helping out” in spirit now as well. 🙂
 
Well, if and only if its possible for the Pope to make an infallible pronouncement saying that evangelicals, orthodox and other forms of Christianity are OK and that such divisions are OK, then that would make Christian unity much more simpler, though still difficult. Yep I agree we need to unite to fight against atheism and islam, which in my opinion are the two biggest apologetic challenges to Christianity.

From the MHFM videos, apparently they showed how JP2 before he died wrote books where he said that conversion of Orthodox etc is no longer the goal of the Church and he even made many good comments about Luther, Orthodox churches etc. He even allegedly made a large donation to one of the Orthodox churches. If there ever was someone to bring unity, I would have liked to see him do it.

I am utterly shocked at the apologetic websites of Christians. The typical pattern goes like this:
The Catholic apologetic websites hunt Evangelicals 70-90% of the time.
The Orthodox apologetics hunt Catholics 50-80% of the time.
Evangelicals apologetic websites hunt everyone, which is good, because at least they hunt Atheists and Muslims A LOT, but they also hunt other Christians 20-30% of the time.
 
With the Catholic emphasis on the New Evangelism, why can’t we unite to win the world for Christ together? Just a dream of mine.

My advice is not to listen to conspiracy theories by groups that are trying to justify being schismatic. :twocents:

Actually, this still happens in the UK in some places in Ireland and Scotland.
 
I think of the Papacy states…in Italy, didn’t work out.

Christ’s kingdom is not of this world.

If people want to find out how the Church regards homosexuals, etc., go to the universal catechism. There is nothing in it that instructs to hate them or abuse them.

The adversarial conditions in this country among Christians, the biggest voting block in the country, is making the witness of our faith as one and holy and true,…as something it is not.
