Prove Jesus is God

Hi! I’m new here. I can only use a computer at the library once or twice a week, so I don’t have much time searching thru all these forums…
If someone would kindly direct to resources (books, websites, etc.) that prove Jesus is God. In my spiritual journey, I have practised several religions incluing Gaudiya Vaishnavaism (better known as the “Hare Krishnas”) and Islam. Both those religions say Jesus is NOT God. A book written by a Muslim scholar (“What Did Jesus Really Say”, I belive the title is) gave VERY convincing arguments against Jesus’ divinity.
I am sooo confused! Please advise!!

try one of my favorites C.S. Lewis “Mere Christianity” is a Classic every library should have one.
Also try the Case For ( faith, jesus,creator) series by Lee Stroble.

Starting from an Islamic perspective, I am not aware of a good resource to help you on this journey or of any resources that can answer to the arguments laid down by this Muslim scholar. But if you have or can aquire a Catholic Bible (I would personally recommend the Revised Standard Version - RSV, but any good Catholic or Protestant Bible should do) then you can visit these websites, which you can print them off and they will guide you to where in the Bible Jesus’ Divinity is outlined.

These websites not only give the scriptual references, but also references to the early Church Fathers’ writings, which are translated and published in a 3 book series called “The Faith of the early Fathers” by Jurgens. www.newadvent.org/fathers also has the translations published online. These writings are from the first all the way to the 7th century I believe.

I hope this material helps you get started. Another book that has been recommended to me, but I have not got to reading yet is “Theology for Beginners” by Francis Joseph Sheen. Some people do not feel comfortable about the Trinity, and I am told this book provides a good explanation of the Trinity.

Correction here: the author’s name is Francis Joseph Sheed (not Sheen)
