Do you live by this proverb?

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths

Yes, but mostly Matthew 6
25
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat (or drink), or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
26
Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they?
27
Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span?
28
Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin.
29
But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them.
30
18 If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith?
31
So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear?’
32
All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
33
But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness, 19 and all these things will be given you besides.
34
Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.”

I work for a Charitable Trust and although my Contract is until the end of March 2006, they have run out of money and my last pay was today. I found out last Friday afternoon. I am the principal income earner for my family.

I pray, God provides.

The other verses that I live by are these:
Mark 11:24
“Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours.”
Matthew 9:27-29
And as Jesus passed from thence, there followed him two blind men crying out and saying, Have mercy on us, O Son of David.

And when he was come to the house, the blind men came to him. And Jesus saith to them, Do you believe, that I can do this unto you? They say to him, Yea, Lord.

Then he touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith, be it done unto you.

No, but I would like to.

GASP It’s the NRSV; BLASPHEMY!!!

LOl jokes.

I do try to follow it, DRV style.

**"Have confidence in the Lord with all thy heart, and lean not upon thy own prudence.

In all thy ways think on him, and he will direct thy steps."

** There are some times in which I feel that my decisions were not merely made by me, but I know that even if I do sin, I know that I will always trust in the Lord our God, without a doubt, despite how I do not trust the world sometimes, despite how I fear death and the existence of the afterlife, etc.

I also follow Saint Matthew 6:33-34, and also various parts of Sirach, and the address of Tobit to his son Tobias…
**
“Bless God at all times: and desire of him to direct thy ways, and that all thy counsels may abide in him.”** Tobit 4:20 DRV

I always had a soft spot for Proverbs 31:6,7

Give strong drink to him who is perishing,
and wine to those in bitter distress;
let them drink and forget their poverty,
and remember their misery no more.
