Hi,
I’m suffering from scrupulosity, and I have been in the habit of doing an examination of conscience every night before bed. I have also been keeping the office, praying a rosary, and frequently mentally prayer while in lockdown.
After confession yesterday, it has become clear that I have a problem with overloading my intellect with facts to fight temptations, overanalysing myself. The Priest told me I should consider focussing on strengthening the will, as opposed to the intellect.
Would it be wise to walk that back? If so, how?
