psalm90

Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst
formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to
everlasting, thou art God.

Ps. 90, v1-2 KJV

That is a beautiful verse.

But what is it exactly you want to tell us?

Gerry 🙂

Reminds me of the quote by Augustine, which I can’t remember the literal form, but something about how I searched for God unsuccessfully everywhere and eventually found him within myself.

The Vatican II council said that Scripture is inexhaustible and the Pontif. Bibl. Commission generally said the same thing, in a way to emphasize that there is no single correct interpretation.

The verses are parallel to some words in one of the Eucharistic prayers that go “from age to age You gather a people to Yourself.”

There should be many ways that we should feel at home with God, wherever we are, particularly when we are in the Word, where we find this hymn of praise.
