Gordon B. Hinckley has done more traveling around all over the world, and met more ordinary people of the Church than any ten Popes combined have ever done. All the Apostles are constantly traveling and meeting people in the far flung corners of the earth. Thomas S. Monson (First Counselor in the First Presidency) has a passion for visiting the sick and afflicted, and old people in their homes or in nursing homes, and comforting them and giving them blessings for the sick.Oh, yeah? When was the last time you sat down with the lds president and had a chat?
This is true. The General Authorities are busy meeting people and holding meetings with people who are members of the church. The pope also holds audiences and speaks to crowds. But I can not write that such meetings and practices are cozy. More businesslike perhaps. And yet, still effective for catholics.Gordon B. Not on your life; keep dreaming. If I did, that would be the end of me, not the Church. Mormonism is true. You will eventually leave Mormonism. Start planning your exit strategy now, and don’t marry a Mormon - it only makes it harder to leave.
