Gordon B. Hinckley has done more traveling around all over the world, and met more ordinary people of the Church than any ten Popes combined have ever done. All the Apostles are constantly traveling and meeting people in the far flung corners of the earth. Thomas S. Monson (First Counselor in the First Presidency) has a passion for visiting the sick and afflicted, and old people in their homes or in nursing homes, and comforting them and giving them blessings for the sick.

This is true. The General Authorities are busy meeting people and holding meetings with people who are members of the church. The pope also holds audiences and speaks to crowds. But I can not write that such meetings and practices are cozy. More businesslike perhaps. And yet, still effective for catholics.

You will eventually leave Mormonism. Start planning your exit strategy now, and don’t marry a Mormon - it only makes it harder to leave.

Yeah, with a tiny church of 12 million like the mormons you can’t really compare to the Catholic Church of 1.115 Biliion.

The Pope spends his days meeting people AND holding meetings with people who are members of the Church AND people who are not members AND heads of state AND has WEEKLY audiences AND… AND… AND…

In my 10 years attending the mormon church along with 3 trips to SLC I never met, much less saw in person, a general authority.

Two examples of many possible:
When the Pope came to Los Angeles Mass was held in the Coliseum which holds over 92,000. Completely dwarfs the tabernacle which only holds 5000 and assembly hall which only holds 1200.

At World Youth Day in 2005 in Germany over ONE MILLION of the faithful saw the Pope in person.

In addition to what I have written above and most importantly, you are comparing a group of seventy men to the Pope. In addition to all the Pope does himself he has almost 200 Cardinals that do the work you claim the seventy do in the mormon church.

To top it all off, there are a little more than 92 Catholics for every 1 mormon in the world. There really is no way you can compare the two.
