No it’s not what I believe, I worded it poorly, should have said Jesus sacrificed himself for sinners.
I was hoping it was just a case of a poor choice of words. 😉
You may have missed post # 117. That is were I’m at.
Yep… I must have been typing or was being interrupted by “other stuff” when that was being posted. Oh, well.

For the Catholic the church sets the rules and punishments for sin.
That is not to say the Old Testament writings are not important, but punishments for sin are not eternally binding on them.
