Oh well, at least they’re not rebooting Small Wonder

The only thing I remember about the show was the theme song (by Gary Portnoy, who also wrote the Cheers theme) and that there was an episode where a kid locked him/herself in an abandoned refrigerator.

Gah! That show was awful. I have no idea who it was written for.

I guess they though it would be like a modern “Bewitched” with Edie McClurg in the Edna Kravitz role (i.e. “There’s something strange going on in that house!”) but with the worst casting, acting, and writing ever.

For anyone out there who hasn’t seen it, I’m sure there are episodes on YouTube. Try to go 5 minutes with wanting to tear your ears off.

Seems like no one can come up with anything new anymore and resort to remakes of old shows.
Irishmom2, you might want to check this link out.

As for the Punky Brewster revival, I hope it doesn’t force the homosexual agenda down the throats of viewers.

Yea…right…I wish I knew why that was. I started a thread once about how they were bringing back the MTV Daria cartoon from the 90’s. Hope they don’t mess these shows up.

They're bringing back Daria...Perhaps life in the US will be happy again Casual Discussion
I loved this show. I thought the critique on American culture was great. They presciently ended the show before 9/11. Not sure how it relates to Catholicism, but I’m quite certain Daria eventually converts and becomes Catholic.

Microchips, here and there,

She’s a smaallllll wonder,

brings love and laughter everywhere!

I had a classmate that insisted on being called Punky. I’m the same age as Soleil Moon Frye so I remembered the show, though I thought it was kind of corny. I’ve since had a change of heart and watch episodes online for nostalgia. Though I still prefer Diff’rent Strokes. That show cracked me up. Now that was what Willis was talkin’ bout.

Loved, loved, loved Daria. My best friend looked and talked like Daria. People always said we were like her and Jane, her artist friend. (though we are both artists)
