This is very sad for me, both as an admirer of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI and as a cat lover.

19 is a good long life for a cat and it sounds like his life was quite the charmed existence.

I will omit saying anything about “the rainbow bridge” here in order to not mess up the thread…let’s just say I pray for Pope Benedict daily.

At age 19, it’s likely something will get them. If not thyroid, it will be kidneys, cancer or a heart attack.

Just had to have the radiation chemo procedure for thyroid done on one of my girls earlier this year. It was money well spent as she has been back to normal ever since and I don’t have to give her a pill every day.
