My wife and I received a book last Christmas called ‘The Warning’ published by Queen of Peace Media. It was fascinating to read about several prophecies of a coming global ‘illumination of conscience’. I found the book to be a reasonable one and many of the prophecies quoted are Church or Bishop approved so I was comfortable with the private revelation and the book in general. BUT then I started viewing their YouTube videos and I began to question whether this is a fringe group who should be avoided. Their videos have caused me much anxiety and stress which I haven’t shared with anyone.

They seem to have a fairly certain path laid out of the approaching second coming of Jesus and all the bad stuff that will lead up to it. Anyway, I know we are not obliged to believe or even give an ear to them (unless we choose to) but I was wondering if anyone else might be familiar with Queen of Peace Media and your thoughts on them. Thanks!

Does the book have an Imprimatur in its first pages?

( Imprimatur definition, an official license to print or publish a book, pamphlet, etc., especially a license issued by a censor of the Roman Catholic Church.)

I find QOP to be a mixed bag—some of their videos solid and helpful, others extreme.

Maybe you’d like the channel Ascension Presents. They’re solid teaching and avoid the sensationalistic stuff.

Rather than asking for comments on Queen of Peace media in general, you need to be considering each individual book, Youtube, or blogger associated with them.
They have all kinds of books and like 20 different speakers and bloggers associated with their website and “brand”.

As Irishmom says, if it doesn’t have a Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur, don’t bother.
If it’s a private revelation that doesn’t have some level of approval, don’t bother.

Any Catholic media ministry is supposed to be in union with the local bishop where they are located. Even if they have priests among their contributors or bloggers, even if they present themselves as Catholic authority on Mary, on Fatima, on the Catholic bishops or Vatican, that doesn’t mean they are a Catholic media.

On a book, look for an Imprimatur.
