Lately I’ve been following a editorial submitted in my local city newspaper over Gay Bashing. Being a heterosexual man I am not biased in any extreme with the hindsight of adopting the full consciousnable moral certitudes of the Catholic Church teachings on Sexual Ethics; which applies equally to everyone no matter what their sexual orientation be it homosexual, heterosexual, transgendered, asexual, or being celibate.
A heterosexual woman submitted the following response to the Gay Bashing article:
To The Editor:
In response to the editorial submitted in newspaper regarding Gay Pride Parade and immoral materials such as pornography. I must say it infuriates me that your newspaper would even consider printing something so ridiculous. Just because some gay men walked through the streets of Toronto “naked” this summer during Pride Parade (“which I am not promoting”), that means homosexual’s everywhere are corrupting today’s youth?
Sir; may I remind you of all the rapists, pedophiles, kidnappers, murders, as well as nudists who are for majority “heterosexual” ? What does that say for todays youth?
I’ll tell you what, don’t judge all homosexuals based on the actions of a few, and I won’t judge you based on the actions of many homosexuals, heterosexuals, transgendered, asexual, or the celibate. The blood of all such human beings runs red.
There is no difference between you and me; and in fact I am “not” homosexual.
I am a person whose sexual orientation happens to be “part” of my womanhood, but does not define my womanhood.
