I gave a question… One of the gals that is in RCIA class with me said she was told after RCIA classes are all over that there are more questions… Does anyone know anything about that, and are there actually more classes to attend?

Learning our faith is a lifelong journey.

Easter Vigil is not a graduation ceremony, but, the beginning! Think about it 2,000 years of information!!

Some parishes offer formal classes after the Vigil called “Mystagogy”, at others you would simply find study groups/fellowship opportunities/self study.

The first year after your reception can be a time of great Spiritual battle, attacks, dryness. It is important that you have become connected to your parish family so you have a support not only in the first year but going forward.

Join the choir, volunteer to help with RE, join the ladies group or Catholic Daughters/Knights of Columbus or men’s group (depending on your gender!).

My parish offers two class periods for Mystagogy - a time of deeper understanding of the mysteries of Christ and how to deepen our connection with the community. We have someone come in and talk about all the different ways to be involved in the parish ministries. I was invited to take part in a Bible Study (the parish paid for my workbook - about $30). Make sure you get involved 🙂
