Could someone post a summary of all these acronyms
I’m getting lost!
two of these (++) means that Duncan is an Archbishop. He is the Archbishop of the ACNA or Anglican Church of North America. The AMiA is the Anglican Mission in America. It’s influence can be found in many churches (especially in Ohio) in the ACNA.Could someone post a summary of all these acronymsI’m getting lost!
And this is what drives me nuts about Anglicanism in general, all the acronyms: ACNA, AMIA, ACIC, ACIA, CANA, etc. The ACIC and ACIA are part of AMIA and both ordain women but AMIA as an overall province does not? There are so many contradictions and guys like ++Duncan and his weird church polity approach with W.O. are just ridiculous. Too many little chiefs in ACNA and criss-crossing organizations. Disaster waiting to happen…
Well, I think it is all part of the painful growing process. One thing I have a problem digesting since becoming an Anglican is how in one way or another, there always seems to be too many folks in charge instead of humbly serving in one capacity or another. It drives me nuts.
Dittoes there, Cran! In the Catholic Church at least at a local level here there are too many Indians trying to be chiefs! Drives me nuts. All these parishoners trying to play priest as Eucharistic Ministers trying to bless kids, etc. The protestant converts instantly try to take over ministries and be in charge. sigh…
That is so very true Gurney. I wonder if cradle Anglicans thought that of me when I was received as an Anglican convert?
