Why did Jesus get baptized?! He did not need to be saved. He was baptized to initiate His work here on earth and not to be saved.

What does the Bible say?

Tradition teaches us that, by entering the Baptismal Waters, He sanctified them, so that we would be sanctified by entering them also.

Jesus answered;

“Let it be so now; for thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteous.” His baptism differs from our own. Since we are the ones who needed to be saved.

So Jesus did not need to be baptized in order to be saved. So why are we baptized in the first place? Where does it say in the Bible that a person is not saved because he was not baptized? If baptism is needed for salvation how come when Paul stated what the gospel was that he preached he did not mention baptism, 1 Cor. 15:1-4? Also, why did Paul state that he did not come to baptize any but to preach the gospel if baptism was a part of the gospel?. If baptism is part of the gospel how come Paul did not say so when he had a great opportunity to do so in 1 Cor. 15?

There are about one hundred and fifty verses in the New Testament that say that salvation is by faith and do not mention baptism
IN THE LETTER TO THE EPHESIANS,PAUL SAYS THERE THAT WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE....AS FAR AS BAPTISM GOES IN THE ACTS OF THE APOS. CHAPTER 10...PETER WAS PREACHING AND THE HOLY SPIRIT CAME ON THE CROWD(THEY WERE SPEAKING IN TONGUES) AND HE SAID WHAT CAN STOP THESE PEOPLE FROM BEING BAPTIZED BY WATER ...(AND NOTICE THE AUTHORITY HE SPEAKS WITH) HE GAVE ORDERS..HE COMMANDED THEM TO BE BAPTIZED......I COULD BE WRONG, BUT NO OTHER APOSTLE ORDERED OR COMMANDED IN SCRIPTURE......

In Acts 10 look at the order of events. Peter preaches, people believed, and were saved. Those who were saved were then baptized. This order never changes in the Bible. We are to baptize only saved people. We are never to baptize a person in oder to get saved.

Baptism was and still is, essential part of Early Christianity. No one was denied that. Not even when Cornelius who received the gift of the Holy Spirit, that did not prevented Peter from baptism them. The point of the matter is clear. Baptism is necessary for our salvation.

In Acts 2:37 it says;

Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and rest of the Apostle, “Brethren, what shall we do?” Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you and shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

He didn’t say believe. He said repent first, and then be baptized.

Let look at Acts 2:38 exegetically if we may. Acts 2:38-39
38 Peter said to them, " Repent (plural phrase, you all repent), and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (singulare phrase) for the forgiveness of your sins (Plural phrase); and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Combine the singulare phrase with the singulare and the plural withe plural phrase. This is proper exegesis.
What do we get?

“Repent … for the forgiveness of sins” (plural phrases).

"…each one of you be baptized in the nameof Jesus (singulare phrase).

The result is "you will recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit.

This verse does not teach that water baptism is needed for salvation.

So if you don’t think it that baptism isn’t necessary then we should break Jesus order in tell us to baptize them in the Name of the Father, and Of the Son, and Of the Holy Spirit?" Why do you think he commanded his Apostles do so? Baptism is necessary.

We already give your Scripture Proof text.

You have to show us that Jesus, or his Apostles did not taught that Baptism is not necessary? Show where the Bible say, “baptism doesn’t save you.”

It does. Read
…and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins…

It doesn’t DENY Baptism. You are wrong again. Baptized is individual done because each person was to be baptized regardless.

This is quite true, but the Apostolic faiths take their doctrine from the Teachings of Jesus, who instituted and commanded baptism, and gave us Himself as a role model.

The Apostolic Faiths also derive doctrine not from a set of unrelated passages, but from the “whole” bible. We do not separate those verses that mention faith from those that mention water, and we understand they go together.
