Question about Confession/Restitution

Hello everyone,

I am a Candidate in the Church and I’ve been thinking about my first confession which should hopefully happen once these lockdowns are over.

When I was a young teen I “borrowed” some clothes while house sitting for someone. I returned it back obviously but it was without my neighbor’s permission. Would I have to make restitution for this since it was theft? Would I have to go back to my neighbor and apologize?

Thank you, I was just curious and hoping I could find an answer on here.
 
thank you. You’re probably right. I found some older threads that (I think) answered my question so I feel a little better now.
