Hello,

I’m really interested in the Holy Face devotion, both as revealed to Sr Marie of St Peter, and Sr Maria Pierina… there was an Archconfraternity started in response to the revelations to Sr Marie of St Peter - and I would be interested in joining it. The only problem, I can’t figure out how… I read that it’s in Tours, France, and I can’t seem to find any information about. I found one in Buffalo… but I was thinking, what are the rules about starting a confraternity? does it have to be a Bishop who starts one? could a parish start one if the priest agrees? would it still be part of the same Archconfraternity that the Pope started before, just a chapter of it? how does it become official? etc… I dont’ know anything about this, but just a thought I had. Thank you!

Here’s a website with advice and information about how to start a Holy Face Confraternity:

holyfacedevotion.com/confraternity.htm

thanks! the website is actually what lead me here, lol… because I read the instructions, and started wondering if this is how Confraternities typically start. Is this something at the parish level? do you have to speak to the Bishop? is there more that we don’t know? etc. 🙂 I would like to speak to my priest though like the link says. I am just wondering about confraternities in general I guess.
