Our parish says the Rosary just prior to morning mass. If I am travelling I try to say mine at the same time. Three O’clock the chaplet. If I am unable, I still keep aware of the hour and pray the chaplet when I can.
Both are wonderful prayer/meditations and highly efficacious. So yes - saying both daily would be a very good thing, but as mentioned above, neither is obligatory.
One’s prayer life is highly personal and there are different factors that go into how one might structure that life and what specific prayers and/or devotions one might choose to use.
