Question about Fertility treatment

Hi all,

A friend of mine had this question, and I figured I would get great advice from this forum, since I didn’t know the precise answer.

A friend of hers had a baby when she was 50. She had eggs implanted (not her eggs) for the baby.

I’m 99% sure that this type of procedure is not moral in the eyes of the church.

Her friend is not Catholic and not concerned with how the Church views this, but we are curious and figured that one of you knows the ‘official’ word on this!

Absolutely not moral in the eyes of the church. The basic rule of thumb is moral measures include those that assist the spouses in the natural way of conception.
