Question about forgiveness and confession

So, when I pray I usually go through my day and see what I did wrong and then repent. When I go to confession I sometimes repeat the sin that I asked God for forgiveness in silent prayer when I pray by myself. Anyone else does this and if so do you guys think its bad if I ask for Gods forgiveness and then mention it again in confession? Any answers helps

I do almost exactly the same thing.

By the sacrament of confession we fulfill our obligation to God and the Church. A personal prayer for forgiveness consolidates our contrite attitude towards our sin. A good thing, prayer is always a good thing.

Pat, looking at this post and your history of posts may I suggest you may be a little too concerned about failing a divine Father figure or being perfect than in being someone who loves God and neighbour and trusts in that love still being present and returned even when we fail. Its more about a relationship than daily conduct I would suggest.
