Question about Forum

I noticed today that in the top bar of the forum page, on the same line as the Welcome note, I have a message about Notifications, which says that I have some friend requests.

What is that?
 
Open it up and see who has aked to be your friend. Then it is up to you whether or not you want to accept them 👍

To what end? I mean, do “friends” get special privileges, like to see contact information, eg? Or notifications of my posts? Does it appear somewhere? I’m just not familiar with the function and so I’m curious about it. Thanks.

Salam, No special privileges. They may see whatever you allow them to see. If your settings are not set to private anyone of us can see basic info about you or any other forum member. You may get an email stating that you recieved a private message from someone. But its not really something to worry about Sister Amy. You will be fine.
