Cristiano, thouart,
I thank the two of you, and everyone else who may have taken interest in this post.
I do have the book called “My Catholic Faith”, and I was taught out of the Catechism which was printed before Vatican II in the 1960s. The Catechisms which people are taught out of now has had a great deal taken out of it, or changed.
To those who may have already figured it out; no, my church is not in communion with Rome, because my leaders believe that the heresy within the Catholic Church goes to the very top of the chain. Please forgive me if that sounds insulting.
I have been told by my mentors of the Catholic faith that THE VIRIGIN MOTHER herself stated that the church will be “Eclipsed”, meaning that a false church with false teachings with cover the TRUE CHURCH to the point to where it is almost unseen. But this false church and their false teachings will be so convincing…that people will not know that it is leading them astray. My church believes that this “eclipse” has taken place.
I am new to the faith; I do not completely understand the undying and unquestioned loyalty to the Pope. But even if my FATHER told me to do something that was wrong, I would not obey him just because he was my father…my loyalty ends when he wants me to do harm to myself or innocent others.
The Pope is supposed to be infallible when it comes to the faith…right? So why does he worship with those who are not of the faith? Isn’t worshiping with those outside of the faith a heresy? The Pope has done this on numerous occasions…so…is his judgment truly infallible? The Popes after Vatican II changed traditions that have been a part of the Church for thousands of years…why? Why change what has been in place for so long? Were these decisions infallible?
Again, my comments are not to be insulting…but just something to consider.
