Hello all! I just purchases Christian Prayer and am trying to get a handle on it. My question is regarding the St. Joseph Guide. For today’s date, (November 26, 2013) it gives the page numbers for MP, DP, EP, and NP. Underneath it it says:

(OOR 1812, Rd 1924f & 2011f; Pr 640)

What is all this? When do you say this? What do the abbreviations mean?

Thanks a lot everybody,

God Bless!

“OOR” means “Office of Readings”. From the General Instruction, n. 59, “Excepting the cases just mentioned, the Office of Readings may be recited at any hour of the day, or even in the night hours of the preceding day, after Vespers.” This is from the UK edition. “Vespers” is another word for “Evening Prayer”.

Please forgive an old man’s ignorance, but what does LOTH mean? Not all of us are familiar with computor jargon.
