Except it isn’t. The term Novus Ordo has been used for decades, and in the context of the Church and TLM, it is still a new mass. Ordinary form is a word that was just invented. And quite frankly, calling the holy sacrifice of the mass ordinary seems a bit offensive.Why not respectfully refer to it as the Pauline mass, or the Mass of Paul VI, or even the OF Mass? None of these terms carry pejorative connotations, in the way that the terms ‘NO’ or 'Novus Ordo" do.
