Is it true that all people really do in Heaven is pray?
However, that doesn’t necessarily imply the particular form of worship. We’ll have glorified bodies in heaven – is it inconceivable that the form of our worship might include bodily / physical actions, which, in their very commission “give glory to God”?We worship God. In eternity. That’s our aim, the beatific vision.
There will be no need for such intercession in the eschaton, however… right?Following the lead of the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, the saints have a pretty full schedule , now, with all the intercessions for us.

All I said was we worship God in eternity. No other statements or assumptions on that. We have no idea what a glorified body really might be. I will assume it’s going to very different to what we creatures will or do imagine. This is because our way is not God’s way. However, that doesn’t necessarily imply the particular form of worship. The Saints are pretty busy ATM, today is the Feast day of Archangels Michael, Raphael and Gabriel. In Mass today, my Priest said they can intercede for protection from evil, healing, and communication. There will be no need for such intercession in the eschaton, however… right?

You’re thinking of God as just some kind of ultrapowerful human, like a version of Fidel Castro or Mao Tse-Tung.Zaccheus:![]()
Sounds like a real boring existence. Do you really think that after an eternity of doing this you would not question the motives of a being who thrives on praise and worship? What a selfish being this god must be who takes pleasure in such narcissism.Praising and worshiping Him will be chief among our joys in Heaven but it will not be the only joy.
You should be thinking Christ, His life and especially on that cross - abandoned, tortured and in pain, having everything stolen away from you, humiliated, taking the blame and punishment for something that someone else did to make that right and spare them the debt. You should be made aware that you have no clue what is possible and why it isn’t ours. But I will let you in on the obvious mystery; it is about the last word in you post. That is the central flaw, the placing of oneself where God should be at the centre of the garden that constitutes our relationship with existence. God is the Divine love, from which we all spring, the infinite ocean of compassion in which all creation dwells and that we cannot see in the darkness of our fascination with ourselves. Eternity means timelessness, but perpetuity is a manifestation of God’s creative power in every moment and every place that is because it rests on He who is Existence itself. The Light does not diminish because He is the Light, the Joy, the Beauty of which we get glimpses, in themselves feeling like eternities, as we pass through the moments that constitute our one life on earth. We get bored clinging on to the illusory and the transient and when the focus is in our own pleasure. God does not thrive on praise and worship; in reality, nothing does. We all thrive in the giving for the good of the other, because that is what God is.Sounds like a real boring existence.
