Question About Software

I used to work at two different companies editing pictures and videos. While at these companies, I would occasionally work from home, so I had all of the software installed on my personal laptop. I don’t think there were any licensing issues, and if there were, the companies weren’t worried about them. I recently wiped everything off my laptop because of some problems I had. So my question is whether it would be wrong for me to install these back onto my laptop. Neither company ever asked for their cds back or told me to cease using them. That said, however, I no longer work for either company, so I’m assuming it would be stealing if I used their software. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

no, you should not. the software is licensed to your former company, not you.
