Well yeah something really bothers me some time and that is street preaching

as you see i see many videos about street preaching on youtube
yet i dont understand one thing

didnt bible tell us to show mercy to people very very empathetic that we act that we show compassion

what we see in youtube videos yelling mentionating unbiblical talk condemning judging

that s why i ask you to help me understand what did bible really mean when it talks about preaching the gospel to others?

and yes i already know about part that we can live our faith that this is also considered some kind of preaching?

but what is actually real way how we should do?

is that this?

you are at street city and you dont start yell around etc but we come as we get ready and prepare ourself we come to person and ask them hello talk a bit then we start conversation if they feel like or interested to talk if doesnt work then we stop

is that right way but i learned somewhere that before we do this that its best to live your faith a bit so i whould like to tell me what do you think and how can we all improve on this site to learn what really are we suposted to do

Christ does not call everyone to be a preacher.

The vast majority of us will be simple Christians. We share the Gospel through our love and good works, just like Scripture teaches.

This is a long article on preaching from Crisis Magazine.

First paragraph shows us that this article is directed toward priests, as lay persons are not “pastors”:

Pope John Paul II has asked that all the Church’s pastors use the Catechism of the Catholic Church “assiduously in fulfilling their mission of proclaiming the faith and calling people to the Gospel of life.” But how is the preacher to approach the Catechism from the perspective of homiletics so as to "make a very important contribution to that work of renewing the whole life of the Church?"

That s interesting yet i dont get much what it says since i dont get english very well could you please show some detail what this really means what it says?

The highlighted paragraph that I quoted. “all the Church’s pastors”. In the Roman Catholic Church, the title “pastor” only granted to ordained priests and bishops.

No lay Catholic holds the title “pastor”.

This article is written for priests, not for lay persons.
