First off I want to say thank you for your time! Hi I am 12. I have a question about the rapture. I have heard it is imminent and I have also heard that there must be a tribulation. Which one is true? I have heard that the rapture on September 23 2017. I have started getting serious about this year and excited to grow in my journey with God :).
I am in mortal sin and worried that I may be left behind (if it were this Saturday). I really want to go to confession
Sorry if I should know the answer to this. I just want to get a firm answer. Thank you and God bless

Well, you should go to confession but don’t worry there’s no pre-tribulation rapture, it doesn’t exist it’s not a Biblical idea and no one believed that until about the 19th century. I’m glad you’re asking about it though, more 12 year olds need to take that kind of initiative to find out about their faith.

But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” - Matthew 24:36

Nobody knows when Christ is going to return, and I certainly doubt he will on the 23rd. Don’t worry yourself. The idea of a rapture is not really a Catholic idea anyway. Instead, when Christ returns, there will be a universal resurrection of the dead, and all will be judged by God. There will be no rapture like the kind you may see in popular culture. Now, I suggest you go to confession, say your prayers, and not worry.
