Question about the rosary and Jesus/Mary helping us

Hello everyone.

I heard something many years ago about saying the rosary and I am trying to find it again. So I am posting here in the hopes someone will know what I am referring to.

Here it is:

I have a memory of hearing about someone (possibly a Saint) saying that Jesus and Mary assist us by taking individual hail mary’s or partial or unfinished prayers normally said during a rosary and assemble them into finished rosaries.

Does anyone know what this is in reference to? Sound familiar at all?

Is my memory false?

google was of no help in finding this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have not heard of this yet, however what I do know is that there is a pious tradition (small ‘t’) that if you don’t finish your Rosary, your Guardian Angel will finish it for you. Click this if you want to learn about it.

Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit who was given to us after He ascended to heaven.

or maybe Revelation 8:4

And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel.

Those are prayers angels are giving to God. We are the saints they are referring too.

No, I don’t think so.

My memory is very specific on this, that it was specifically about the rosary and about Jesus and Mary gathering the scattered remnants of any prayers from the rosary and assembling them into completed rosaries that would then become something that was permanent in heaven for all time. I have been searching for the source of this memory for many years now…more than a decade, possibly two. I pray that St Anthony will help me find it.

Sorry if it was specifically about the Rosary, it wasn’t in the Bible.

Maybe you should post this or ask someone to move this thread to Liturgy and Sacraments or Traditional Catholicism. It might get better replies then Casual Discussions. This sounds historical and someone who’s a cradle Catholic might be able to help better.
