When I get married in a Catholic Church, how does the paper work get processed? Do we have to take the final wedding paper work to city hall on the Monday after the wedding to finalize it?
Your priest should know how it works in your area and tell you.
In my diocese in USA, we were required to give our marriage license to the priest, who filled out what was necessary after the wedding and sent it to the appropriate county office without anything further needed from us.
Same with me. Got license at city hall a week or so before the wedding, was married and then signed the certificate, along with the witnesses. The parish handled the rest
