Peace be with you all,

I have a question concerning the nature of our spirits. The answer to this informs me as to my understanding concerning sexual offenses and how to address the sinfulness of them.

Are we “inherently” male and female in the “essense” of our spiritual nature?

Peace, Loven and Blessings,

This past weekend The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith issued “On the Collaboration of Men and Women in the Church and in the World.”

In a nutshell, from the moment of conception, males and felames are different, and will remain so for all eternity.

Peace be with you Paul W,

Thank you for the link. I found it very informative.

How does one indentify sexually “undefined” people such as hermaphrodites? Their existence complicates our understanding of the unique sexuality of our spiritual selves. As I understand it, we are reunited with the physical form perfected upon resurrection. Is the physical form separate from our spiritual form or are we a special union of the spiritual and the physical? If we are whole in spirit alone, then I am interested in knowing if the spirit “has” a sex without the body and what role such “gendered” spirits have in the afterlife. Thank you for your responses.

Peace, Love and Blessings,
