I wanted to ask you about the permanence of marriage for JWs. I completely forgot all I learned when I used to attend the meetings with my husband.
When we were having trouble in our marriage he’d tell me just to avoid arguments, he would leave and divorce me. If I remember correctly, you guys believe in the permanence of marriage too, don’t you? Isn’t it that if you, as a JW get divorced and remarry another you’re committing adultery if the ex-spouse didn’t remarry first, and that if I a non-JW got remarried the JW would be free to marry? Can you explain all the aspects of marriage and its sacredness to JWs?
Can you provide sources from the WT? The only reason I need this is to understand the JW pov of marriage again. And if my husband ever brought that up again I could point him to those sources…
