Would reading or listening on audio the Mormon scriptures be a real help when having a debate or apologetics discussion against Mormonism with Mormons for example?

Would the knowledge contained in their books be very beneficial knowing in that sense?

It’s just my opinion of course, but the Book of Mormon is very hard to read because every other passage begins with “and it came to pass.” Joesph Smith was not a good writer.

It’s very hard to have a meaningful debate with Mormons because as nice as they are they claim to “just know” that their beliefs are true. With that kind of a priori “knowledge” being very hard to disprove, any debate with them is incredibly hard.

Not particularly.
They also believe in a living prophet that guides them today, so they follow whatever he/they (ie the quorum of the 12) say.

Trying to engage Mormons in an apologetic debate is pretty much a waste of time because it’s fruitless.

Best thing to do with to live your life of faith. That is a living witness.
