jump out at you? I know that it’s an obscene gesture in many counties, but I also know how permeating American culture can be. Still, I would think it would jump out even if you know how we use it!
When he first came to my parish, my favorite priest used to pronounce the Eucharistic Prayer as “…merit to be co-hairs…” If you know Spanish, you’ll know why I chuckled. And if you’re familiar with Catholic liturgy, you’ll know why I tried so hard not to chuckle!
