Question for Presbyterians

I was curious (for any members of the OPC and PCA) what the big differences are between the Orthodox Presbytherian Church and the Presbyterian Church of America.

To me, they both seem very conservative and adhering to Calvanist theology. Just curious why they are two separate denominations.

The simplistic answer is a lack of humility on the part of the PCA. The OPC was formed in the mid-1930’s, the PCA in the late '70’s. At some point they considered uniting. The OPC approved the overture, the PCA did not. By the way, on the liberal-to-conservative scale, the OPC is a somewhat further right than the PCA.
