Some people would say it’s stupid to “waste” money on going to a movie, or a play, or a “stupid football game”.

I agree with those who write that if it’s for “entertainment value” and not feeding an addiction or putting money needed for other things (including charity, BTW), it’s not morally questionable and such a position is supported by the Church.
