Question on nature of social justice

What is “social justice”? Aristotle lists justice as one of the virtues (On Rhetoric, p. 80). Historically, in the USA, justice has been articulated with the legal branch of our government. “Social” justice seems to coopt justice into a social mandate…toward what end?

Justice is equal treatment of all. Legal justice is restricted to existing laws for example legal justice does not protect babies proir to birth, nor is some cases after birth. As opposed to social justice which involves all issues of men. Another example is legal justice is defined by a fair trial not the punishment of parties who commited crime!!! Read about jury nullification. So Social Justice does not allow the escape through legal options.
