Catholic teaching states that when we die we will instantly know our eternal fate as we will receive our particular judgment (CCC 1021-1022). We also know that at the end of time, there will be a general resurrection and a last judgment (CCC 1038-1041), at which time the “truth of each man’s relationship with God will be laid bare”.
Two questions:
Two questions:
- If my soul goes to heaven after my particular judgment, am I still subject to the last judgment? Do I get judged twice?
- If the answer is “yes”, what about say King David…does he get judged a second time?
