I would like to be enlightened further on the saying of Jesus that “… what enters a man does not defile him…”

My question is: Is seeing pornographic films defile one? Is seeing not entering a man or woman, and therefore, does not defile him or her? How about if one sees instead someone or people being killed in a movie or in reality, is he or she defiled or not? Is there a difference between seeing films that are pornographic and seeing films that are violent?

Jesus was speaking specifically about the dietary laws of Judaism and preparing his disciples for the New Covenant.

You cannot apply this passage to the items you describe (pornography, lust, etc), which was only talking about the Jewish *ritual *laws-- not the moral law.

Christ taught on the subject of immorality very clearly (if a man looks lustfully at a woman he has already committed adultery with her… If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out…etc…) and the Church’s universal witness regarding the violations of the Sixth Commandment reflects that.

So, yes, pornography is wrong because it violates the sixth commandment. It does defile you, but not in the way Christ was speaking of in this passage-- ritual impurity.
